The Full Time Secretariat is based at the Association's office in Wallington, Surrey. The Secretariat reports to the Board of Directors, which meet six times each year.

Andrew joined the PPMA in early 2016 as the CEO and is responsible for day to day operations of the PPMA.  Together, with the Board, Andrew ensures that strategic change, growth and performance is delivered in order to maximise value for PPMA members.

Before joining the PPMA, Andrew spent over 16 years in the Chemical/FMCG/ Pharma sectors in Director positions within specialty material and manufacturing sectors. During this time Andrew worked with hundreds of companies from multinationals to SME’s, and ran several operations across Europe. Prior to that Andrew was with P&G’s R&D division working on developing global products such as Pantene and Olay. Andrew has a skin biochemistry doctorate from Imperial College London.

Ian is the PPMA Company Secretary, Ian became involved with the formation of PPMA Ltd in 1987 and has worked with PPMA Ltd since.  Ian manages statutory compliance and finance with the support of Alan Yates, Finance Director. During his time with the PPMA, Ian has instigated the issue of shares to members, been instrumental in the acquisition of the HQ building in Wallington and has managed change of use of previous offices and the sale of surplus land for development.

Ian has a Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and qualified in 1984 after a varied “career” including industrial accident claims investigation, butchery & bakery, bus driving and managing the Rolls Royce and Bentley Owner Drivers Club (no lion taming even though he is from Purley (Monty Python for those who do not know). Ian started his own practice shortly after qualifying.

Chris (Known as CJ) joined the PPMA in 2008, and quickly became a member of the SMT and is now the Head of Relationship Management reporting to Andrew Mint, CEO.

CJ is strategically responsible for multiple aspects of membership relationship including the membership benefits program, member retention, along with developing and organising education/seminars/training, consultancy services, managing the PPMA strategic partners and special PPMA events.

CJ is a highly motivated individual who gets things done, whilst ensuring that she meets the needs of the individual, team (and the task!). She constantly looks to improve the network for the members, in addition she has substantial experience of organising and running events.

CJ started her working life as a professional dancer moving onto marketing for BMW – managing people and events. Before joining the PPMA she was a senior manager in a private security firm and firearms organisation.

Sidiqa joined the PPMA in August 2016 as the Membership Relations Executive, reporting to Christine Jordan, Head of Membership Services.  She works closely with existing members to strengthen relations and enhance engagement ensuring the members are fully aware of the benefits available to them.

Sidiqa has previously worked within marketing, membership services and events related positions.

Sidiqa earned a BA honours degree in Marketing with Business Studies at the University of West London, graduating in 2011.

Jackie has been with the PPMA since 2009, reporting to the Company Secretary, Ian Jardine.  Her main responsibilities as Finance Manager is to run the accounts department on a day to day basis dealing with all accounting queries that arise as well as the monthly management accounts.

After working in South Africa in sales, Jackie came to the UK in 1998.  She then left the UK for a short time and returned in 2001 to settle permanently in the UK. Jackie worked for an IT Company as an Accounts Assistant and Credit Controller, then moved on to several Accounts Manager roles.

Tina joined the PPMA in 2014 and is the PPMA’s Accounts Assistant & Credit Controller, reporting in to Jackie Phillips, the Finance Manager.  Her daily key duties include, contacting debtors for outstanding invoices and queries, she also allocates payments and inputs invoices, as well as other ad-hoc accounting duties.

Tina’s first role in the finance industry was in 2000, when she took on a role in a busy, wholesale nursery, where she processed orders and banking income for the day. Tina’s next role as a credit controller meant she was working to strict monthly targets and working within a team managing over 200 debtors each.  When Tina was in her mid-20’s she decided to start a family and made the decision to stay at home to bring up her children.

David joined the PPMA in 1993 and is responsible for the successful completion of sales, organisation and delivery of the annual PPMA Show. David has held a number of roles at the PPMA, including Membership Manager, Head of Publishing and in International Services. David currently reports to the CEO, Andrew Mint.

He has represented the PPMA and presented to Industry and Government Working Groups and meetings to enhance the best interests of the Association’s membership.

Scott is the Exhibition Sales Manager who joined in 2013.  He reports to David Harrison, Group Exhibition Manager.  His main responsibility is to oversee the process of selling exhibition stand space for the PPMA Show. Scott also introduces new member organisations to the association.

Throughout a 20-year career – which has involved posts within SME’s and blue-chip Organisations – Scott has served in various industries, including the financial sector, IT and entertainment industries.

Prior to joining the PPMA, Scott spent 6 years working for a major UK logistics organisation, which involved overseeing the entire sales operation. Scott was a key member of the senior management team, and had a large influence on general business strategies at the highest level.

Scott has developed skills in many areas during his career, owing to the senior roles held, with a high aptitude for business and a wealth of experience in managing sales departments.

Lucy has been working with the PPMA for nearly 3 and ½ years and claims it’s the best job she’s ever had!  Lucy reports to Scott McKennaHarrison, Exhibition Sales Manager and her key responsibilities are selling stands for the annual PPMA Show and memberships, handling sales administration duties and assisting our exhibitors with show enquiries.

She feels passionately proud of what the Company stands for, as well as all of the members.

Talking on the phone has always come easy to Lucy as she started off her career as a Hotel Receptionist and has held various customer-facing roles over the years including Coach Hostess!

Elaine joined the PPMA in 2014 as the Sales Support Representative reporting in to Scott McKenna, Exhibition Sales Manager.  Her key responsibilities are telephone follow up to email and direct mail campaigns promoting shows and stand space, sourcing data and telephone follow up for the purposes of visitor promotion.  Elaine also supports the publishing team by selling logos for the show catalogue and chasing entries for the annual directory.

Prior to working at the PPMA, Elaine spent 15 years as a Senior Account Manager in B2B direct marketing.  Responsibilities included business development and representing the Company at the International Direct Marketing Fair in London.

Janette coordinates the International Services reporting in to David Harrison, Group Exhibition Manager.  Her main responsibilities are co-ordinating the UK Pavilions at Overseas Shows, along with providing an organisational support role at the PPMA Show.

Janette has been a valued member of the team for nearly 20 years taking a break in the early 2000’s for a family.  Janette has had various roles at the PPMA including, PPMA Show, Publishing and currently International Services.

After completing a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies at University of the West of England, Janette joined a civil engineering Company in Bristol, then moved back to her home town working for the PPMA.

Gill joined in June 2016 as Head of Administration, reporting Andrew Mint, CEO.  Gill manages the PPMA office, overseeing the smooth and efficient running of it.  She also provides PA support to the CEO, alongside assisting the Exhibition and Publishing Teams in several key projects ensuring the Total Show is run effortlessly.

Gill’s an extremely organised administrator who has substantial experience at a senior level. She is expert at continuously improving procedures and efficiency.

Gill’s career commenced within the advertising industry, progressing to a senior level in several functions within the publishing, pharmaceutical, specialty chemicals and government sectors.  In 2010, Gill studied part-time to obtain a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.

Valerio is Head of Marketing at the PPMA, joining in August 2016. His remit includes improvement of current marketing initiatives, development of new services and implementation of a marketing plan to support the long-term strategy envisaged by the CEO, to whom he reports in to.

A Law graduate from Italy, Valerio obtained a Masters Degree in Marketing Communications at Bournemouth University in 2006. He started his career in Milan working for agencies Starcom Mediavest (Publicis) and Y&R (WPP).

Since then, he has covered a variety of marketing roles, mainly within the B2B arena, for large corporations as well as SMB’s and spent over 3 years in Dubai, UAE.

Craig joined the PPMA in April 2016 as the Marketing Executive.  He is working alongside the Head of Marketing to develop and implement new services and is eager to get “stuck in” with some of the exciting upcoming projects, which include several marketing activities for the PPMA Total Show.

Craig has been an ambitious Marketer since 2014 and studied Marketing at Bournemouth University.  During this time he was highly commended by the University Head of Marketing for his consistently high grades.

Craig was a member of the team recognised by the CIPR for their work carried out on the Sponsorship of Southampton Football Club whilst carrying out his work placement in 2012-2013.

Craig is a member of the Football Association and has refereed for the FA Cup and FA Vase.

David joined in 2007 and is Head of Publishing reporting to the CEO, Andrew Mint.  David’s key remits are managing the advertising sales for Machinery Update, The PPMA Show Catalogue and the annual Machinery Directory.  He also manages and develops, together with the publishing team the entire PPMA media offering and is developing how the PPMA moves into the digital age to ensure all products remain ‘fit for purpose’ and continue to provide the key routes to market, so important to the membership.

David has worked in packaging media for nearly 30 years, however, he started his career cleaning & repairing lawnmowers before moving into publishing with IPC Magazines.  He spent 12 great years in the farming market-place where his first role was as a Sales Trainee on Farmers Weekly.  After 2 years, he progressed up to a field sales position.  His career moved on to covering overseas sales, building houses at The Ideal Home Show and launching healthcare products into notable establishments, John Lewis, Selfridges and Harrods. 

Bill is the PPMA’s Publishing Manager reporting in to David Chadd, Head of Publishing.  Bill’s main area of activity in recent years has predominantly been in the publishing department with his key responsibilities being to ensure all PPMA publications, Machinery Update, PPMA Machinery Directory and PPMA Show Catalogue are produced on time, in the most cost effective method possible.
Bill strives for 100% accuracy in all he does and has worked for the PPMA for over 25 years and worked closely with most departments.

Starting her working life, spotted by a dragon’s den styled entrepreneur – the business was highly successful, close to the wire and often controversial, Chris learnt the skills and ways of business in hair raising and often rapid style.

She went on to join a leading London management & technology consultancy firm, here she spent many years on projects across differing industry sectors, e.g. Government agency – Privatisation of the Water Industry, this was a massive undertaking with lots of media interest. However, a Logistical brief - relocation of a national newspaper – Fleet Street to Wapping happened overnight, under the cover of darkness, without a hiccup to the paper boys early round!

Currently, Chris is now part of the publishing team, working on the full range of PPMA publications. Co-ordinating and point of contact for UKIVA’s activities, is also part of her role.

Robert joined the PPMA in 2003 and is the IT Manager, reporting to the CEO, Andrew Mint.  He has responsibility for all aspects of IT, currently focusing on an IT project assessing all aspects of the Organisations IT infrastructure.  He will be heading up several important IT projects which will implement a new CRM system and to redesign the websites.

Robert studied Pre-Tech Engineering, graduating in 1984 and joined the retail sector until 1995.  Since then, Robert’s career moved into the IT industry and in 1996 he studied database design and data management. He worked in various positions, ranging from database management to second line support.
