News Subject: FRAMOS Image Sensor Tech Days 2017

Latest technical news, comprehensive research and deep measurement lectures for camera developers
With technical news, comprehensive research and measurement results from current image sensors, the second FRAMOS Image Sensor Tech Days conference, held from April 25 to 26, will offer the ideal platform for camera developers to share information and exchange ideas. This workshop will feature exclusive presentations by SONY Japan, ON Semiconductor and e2v on current developments and future sensor innovations.  The conference will focus on Machine Vision, Intelligent Traffic Surveillance (ITS), security and scientific applications, as well as talks on effective equipping, suitable lens solutions and 360° imaging.
The equipping specialist, WEPTECH, will be discussing the special requirements of the latest CMOS sensors from a production point of view and presenting innovative equipping and soldering technologies for BGA-/LGA- and PGA image sensors. Lens experts, Computar, will explain what to look out for when choosing the right lens to match the sensor and application, and will talk about the technical lens innovations set to determine the quality of vision systems in the future.

On 26 April, David Mills from ON Semiconductor will present the company's current product range and roadmap for the Global and Rolling Shutter sensors. John Phillips will discuss the technical characteristics of image sensors in the industry, the security sector and special applications, including interface solutions and co-processors for further rapid processing. A live-demo of the latest EMCCD sensors will show how they ensure high image quality, particularly in poor lighting conditions. Sphericam will demonstrate its 360° vision camera which is based on ON Semiconductor's AR0134/AR0135, and will discuss the technical details during implementation of the virtual reality solution in industrial applications.

To conclude the conference, FRAMOS application engineers will speak about the importance of lenses for the quality of imaging systems. Based on best practices they will show how optical inaccuracies induce negative consequences within the system and how specific HDR lenses impacts vision systems positively. EMVA 1288 results of latest image sensors enlighten the sensor performance effects using different camera designs and temperature ranges. During both conference days, there will be many opportunities for participants to network with fellow attendees and specialists.
