Reporting into our senior project manager, this role requires the candidate to liaise with customers, capture customer requirements, support the project team and work in partnership with colleagues to deliver on commitments.
The successful candidate will have a sound engineering background and a strong understanding of Project Management Methodology. They will prepare and manage all project phases and deliverables including project briefs, management plans, schedules, budgets, and maintenance of tracking registers.
For this role, you will work with our technical and sales teams to support the quotation phase, including the preparation of proposals (commercial and technical) and estimates. You will also identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to the customer to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
You will be required to track and monitor progress of all allocated projects in terms of time, cost, and quality, as well as manage and communicate contract changes with the customer. Maintaining a significant level of knowledge of general engineering and automation solutions will be key to your success in this role, as will keeping up to date with sector developments, identifying any future opportunities or threats.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to establish key relationships and deliver exceptional customer service. You will have exposure in dealing with multiple, concurrent customers / suppliers and have experience working within a complex multi-disciplined environment.
You will be an excellent team player and have the confidence and capabilities to work on your own initiative. Experience of working to tight deadlines and empathy with other functions and projects are also key attributes.
Applicants will be at least HNC qualified in a relevant electrical or mechanical engineering discipline and ideally hold a project management qualification.
