  • Derek Coulson

    Technical Advisor | Safe Machine Ltd.

    Derek was one of the founders of Laidler Associates in 1998, probably the best-known Machinery Safety consultancy in the UK until it became part of TUV SUD in 2010. Overnight it went from 35 people to 17,000. Derek left in 2012 to start Safe Machine Ltd. to assist companies with Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation (PUWER), assessments, Machinery Risk Assessment and CE Marking. Recent projects include CE marking at the AkzoNobel paint factory in Ashington, UKCA Marking of a sports pitch cover, a face mask machine, and a vertical farm.
