With the new UK-EU trade & cooperation agreement signed on 30 December 2020, PPMA members are encouraged to join a FREE to attend webinar on Rules of Origin on 4 February 2021 at 12pm (BST).
During this one hour-and-a-half webinar session, attendees will get an overview of how the UK-EU deal affects Rules of Origin and the implications for you and your business when exporting and importing across UK/EU borders.
Specific examples will be used to demonstrate the impact on products crossing borders once or multiple times. A broad overview of the policy will be discussed along with the practical and technical implications for UK manufacturers. The session will conclude with helpful guidance on how to mitigate and work with these new rules.
Attendees will hear from Niall MacEntee-Creighton, Deputy Director for Rules of Origin and Tariffs in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Niall was on the UK’s negotiating team so is ideally placed to give insight.
Julian Ainley, Deputy Director, Customs - Tariff Management, Duty Liability, and International Agreements at HMRC, will speak on the technical detail of what the policy means for manufacturers, highlighting the most-commonly faced issues and problems. Finally, attendees will hear from Keith Robe, Make UK’s customs expert who will offer an insight into the on the ground implications.
