IDS Vision Channel – New platform for live sessions and networking

01 Feb 2021

Industrial camera manufacturer, IDS Imaging Development Systems, is now able to showcase its expertise as one of the leading manufacturers of digital industrial cameras through a new FREE-to-use Vision Channel platform to streamline live events sessions and networking sessions.

In addition to online events, calendars and live chats, IDS’ Vision Channel (which is broadcast in English) also houses a media library of past recordings and exclusive content. The online sessions address image processing topics around 2D, 3D and embedded vision, as well as artificial intelligence (AI).

Sessions are short, focussed and interlink with each other depending on the topic, which means they are engaging for beginners and experts.  There is an opportunity for questions to be asked and discussed in the group or with the speakers after each session. This makes the IDS Vision Channel ideal for knowledge sharing.

IDS speakers are from a wide range of disciplines, from product management to development to management.  There will also be guest invitations from IDS Solution Partners or start-ups, depending on the subject.

Each event will be offered at least twice to enable people from different time zones to participate live, whereby experts will be on hand to answer questions during and after the online sessions.

An overview of all upcoming dates can be found in the IDS Vision Channel calendar, which enables the various events to be easily filtered, booked and managed accordingly.

In response to the launch of the new Vision Channel, IDS managing director, Jan Hartmann., said: "We can now bring our specialists to you on screen. Participants can choose suitable events from a wide range of topics and receive tips and tricks for their own applications.”

As travel restrictions continue due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the IDS Vision Channel is intended to serve as a digital meeting place and to foster exchange within the international machine vision community.
