Gov launches £38m Export Growth Plan to help SMEs

The Department for International Trade (DIT) has announced a new £38m ‘Internationalisation Fund’ to help up to 7,600 cross-sector SMEs in England export following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The new £38m Internationalisation Fund (from 2020-23) is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is managed through four regional projects: The Northern Powerhouse Internationalisation Fund, Midlands Internationalisation Fund, South Internationalisation Fund and London Internationalisation Fund.

Sixty-four new International Trade Advisers (ITAs) will provide direct support to SMEs in principally the North, Midlands, and South West of England.
