Virtual STEM Days 2022 – launching in British Science Week!

11 Mar 2022

The PPMA BEST charity are proud to provide schools with the opportunity for a Virtual STEM Day in 2022!

This offer of free Virtual STEM Days is launching to coincide with British Science Week, and we are joining the nationwide celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths.

What is a Virtual STEM Day? Your school is invited to join us online for a fun and fully funded day of STEM activities and careers advice. Our expert presenter will livestream to your students and introduce two stimulating hands-on activities for them to complete. Role models from industry will also participate to inspire the young people with careers in robotics, machine vision, automation and more, and help your school achieve the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Who is it for? The STEM day is aimed at Yr 7 / 8 students. Students work in small teams on the activities, and multiple classrooms are welcome to join at the same time - we’d love to have the full year group participate.

How does it work? Simply tell us when you’d like to host and we’ll send all the materials your students need for the activities. Nothing needs to be returned afterwards, we want it to be hassle-free as possible. The day will typically run from around 9am and finish at lunch (we will fit the agenda to your normal school schedule). The presentations and activities will be introduced by the PPMA BEST presenter, who will stay online throughout to encourage and answer queries. Trophies are even awarded at the end!
