Industrial vision

Industrial vision is an enabling technology that has transformed manufacturing by its ability to reproducibly and repeatably inspect and measure components, assemblies and final products in a host of industries.

Vision systems essentially consist of the same main components:

  • Illumination
  • A camera and lens
  • Image processing software and;
  • A user interface

Users can build their own systems from the individual components or purchase complete systems that can be or are already, tailored to their specific application. Systems integrators can build vision systems into new and exciting production processes. Embedded systems can be incorporated into other equipment.
