Somerset welding trio receive PPMA BEST Grant

Three apprentices at Sycamore Process Engineering Ltd have received grants from PPMA BEST allowing them to purchase tools and equipment

Keelan Hull, Ollie Bishop, Tom Emmett (pictured left to right) have been given £1000 each by PPMA BEST to assist them with their apprenticeships at Sycamore.

Tom Emmet joined Sycamore in August 2018 as a level 2 welder/fabricator apprentice. He is now a level 3 apprentice and taking responsibility for his own projects.

Keelan joined Sycamore Process engineering in January 2022 as level 2 welder/fabricator apprentice, whereas Ollie joined the business straight from school, in August 2022. He started his college course the following month as a Level 2 Welder/Fabricator.

All the apprentices used their grants to purchase quality tools for their workstations and attend Strode College in Somerset.

Quote marks

Tom, Keelan, and Ollie are doing tremendous work at Sycamore; they are very open to learning and are a real credit to the apprenticeship programme. PPMA BEST has really helped as with the grant money the guys have bought quality tools which are personal to them and will be used every day, perhaps even for the rest of their careers.
